Aluminum Mirror

Presented at Design Parade 5 in Hyeres, France  /  2010

A block of aluminum is CNC-milled then polished to a mirror finish to create an awareness of the object in a spatial, tactile, and material context.  An angled cut on the surface and self-levelling feature allows for different compositions to be framed between object and user, calling into question the relationship of the person with respect to the object and the space.
