LinkNYC

Produced by City of New York and CityBridge  /  2015

Part of a successful bid to design and implement a replacement for New York City’s aging payphones, we designed LinkNYC.
Digital advertising is integrated with high speed Wi-Fi access and free phone calling.
The Link structures are pillar-like, designed to be prominent and friendly, yet in keeping with the New York City cityscape.
The base tapers at the front so users can step closer to the interface. This minimizes the space taken up on sidewalks.

Isaac was born in Taiwan and grew up in Canada, where he studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. 
He recieved his MFA in 3D Design from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2010, and has since been living and working in New York as part of Antenna Design.
Through his work, Isaac wants to create an awareness between the user and the object that is joyful, familiar and understood.
